Dundee Football Club can confirm that our Premier Sports Cup fixture against Clyde on Saturday 25 July at Dens Park (kick-off 3:00pm) has been granted a license by Dundee City Council for the sale of alcohol.

This comes after the success of the initial license granted for our Airdrieonians match earlier this month.

As part of the wider SPFL pilot initiative, a small designated concourse area within the Bobby Cox Stand at Dens Park will offer alcohol for purchase two hours before kick-off until 30 minutes before kick-off with supporters admitted on a first come – first served basis. This will only be available to home fans, and these sales will be managed in full accordance with licensing laws, with appropriate security and stewarding in place. Please note, the 1893 Beer Hall will be closed for this match.

The aim of the pilot is to gather insight into how a carefully managed approach to alcohol sales can support a positive and safe match day experience for supporters, as part of wider work taking place across Scottish football to improve fan engagement and enhance the overall stadium environment.

Alcohol will only be sold prior to kick off and will only be consumed within clearly designated areas and not in sight of the pitch, and all sales will take place in clearly defined, monitored areas of the stadium. Match day operations, stewarding and safety planning will remain consistent with our usual high standards.
