After announcing a new sponsorship deal with Hangar Records of London on Friday, Dundee FC are delighted to reveal the new home and away kits for the 2014/15 season.
The club showed off the new home shirt in Friday’s sponsorship announcement but fans now have the chance to see the full kit as well as the brand new change kit which the team will wear in the 2014/15 Premiership season.
Having looked at several logo options, Hangar officials decided to go with this modified version on both the home and away kit.
Both kits include sponsors on front and back as well as the shorts. Scott Fyffe and Metro Motors will remain on the back of the shirts while Crown Engineering will again be displayed on the shorts.
The away kit taps into the clubs long and illustrious history. 121 years ago when Dundee Football Club was formed through the merger of East End and Our Boys, the club took on both teams colours.
In the first season the club alternated between the dark blue or Our Boys and the blue and white stripes of East End. This season will see Dundee again in the stripes as the change kit.
Dundee have worn the blue and white stripes as an away kit previously, in the mid 90s and most notably in 2001/02. Following a season which saw Argentine legend Claudio Caniggia turn out for the club as well as a host of other players from the South American country. The club took on their national colours which linked so perfectly in with the first kit worn by the club for one of the best selling Dundee strips of all time.
