Bray Wanderers Vs Dundee

Dundee recorded back-to-back 5-1 victories as they played their second pre-season game of the 2023/24 campaign. New signings Zach Robinson and Owen Beck scored three goals between them as The Dee visited League of Ireland First Division side Bray Wanderers, in what was a mid-season friendly for The Seagulls.

The first goal of the game came in the 10th minute when Max Anderson drove through the middle of the park and picked out Fin Robertson on the left-hand side who rolled the ball to Zach ROBINSON to tap in for his first goal in a dark blue shirt in his first game since returning to the club

The second goal came eight minutes later as Owen BECK drove forward and played a neat one-two with Robertson before slotting the ball into the back of the net.

Bray pulled a goal back in the 39th minute when trialist Nadre Butcher went on a solo run before finding the bottom corner of the net.

A minute before half time Dundee restored their two goal lead when Robertson again linked up with ROBINSON who grabbed his second of the game.

The second half saw eight substitutions come on for Dundee with McCracken, Wilkie, Rudden, Mutale, Graham, Lamb and Mulligan all coming on for Legzdins, Beck, Robinson, Anderson, Shaughnessy, Kerr and McCowan. Luke McCowan later came back to replace Lyall Cameron for the last ten minutes.

Substitute Zak RUDDEN made it four just before the hour mark when he found space and smashed the ball past the keeper. On 75 minutes RUDDEN got his second and Dundee’s fifth, after Robertson laid the ball off to him and his powerful shot found the top corner of the net.

For the second time in five days, the Dark Blues enjoyed an excellent pre season warm up and scored five goals for the third match in a row, when you include the last game of the SPFL Championship winning campaign. It was great to see Zach Robinson get on the scoresheet in his first time game back as well as debutant Owen Beck making his mark. Zak Rudden also reminded The Dees what a threat he can be in front of goal with his double.
