WILL CROWDS BE ALLOWED BACK AT DENS FOR THE 2021/22 SEASON?
Following the positive developments in recent weeks with vaccinations, the return of some fans in events across the country, the timeline for easing restrictions in Scotland and the announcement of 12,500 fans allowed to attend the European Championship matches at Hampden in June we are increasingly confident that fans will be allowed to return to Dens Park for the 2021/22 season.
WHAT MEASURES ARE DUNDEE TAKING TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF SUPPORTERS?
A number of safety measures will be in place to ensure the safety of our supporters and staff. These will include a socially distanced seating plan based on either 1 metre to 2 metres social distancing, subject to guidance from the Scottish Government.
There will also be temperature checks, sanitising stations, additional cleaning of facilities and self-declaration forms.
The home play-off match against Kilmarnock with reduced capacity gave us the opportunity to see this in action with no issues.
WHAT HAPPENS IF CROWDS ARE NOT ALLOWED, OR I CAN’T GAIN ACCESS TO MATCHES DUE TO PARTIAL CAPACITY AS A RESULT OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS?
Season Ticket Holders will once again receive virtual access to any home league matches affected by Covid-19 restrictions in 21/22.
Matches will be broadcast to Season Ticket Holders on DeeTV, this will also include any home matches selected by Sky Sports.
If partial capacity is required and the number of fans allowed to attend is lower than the number of Season Ticket Holders, entry will be decided by a rolling ballot taking all restrictions in place into account and acting as reasonably as possible.
IF THE CAPACITY IS LIMITED DUE TO COVID-19 WHAT WILL THE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS BE?
Seating arrangements are dependent on guidance from the relevant authorities, we will use a socially distance seating plan, either 1 metre or 2 metres social distancing, that will use the full availability of seats around the stadium.
We will try our best to keep supporters within the stand where their season ticket is located however this may not always be possible.
Details around seating individuals, household or friend groups will be based on rules set by the Scottish Government and the SFA.
Additional measures such as providing a negative Covid-19 test result in the build-up to a match is also subject to guidance from the Scottish Government and the SFA.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T ATTEND A MATCH DUE TO PERSONALLY BEING AFFECTED BY COVID-19?
While we hope to welcome back all fans from the start of the season there may be circumstances preventing attendance such as localised restrictions or a positive Covid-19 test result, in these instances the matches will be available to watch through the virtual offering.
WILL I RECEIVE VIRTUAL ACCESS IF A GAME IS PLAYED BEHIND CLOSED DOORS OR WITH REDUCED CAPACITY?
Yes, any home league matches affected by Covid-19 restrictions will be available to watch through access to a virtual season ticket, including matches covered by Sky Sports.
