Late defeat for Reserves

Dundee fell to defeat in the SPFL Reserve League on Tuesday afternoon as Falkirk hit the winner with a last minute penalty.

It was an even contest in the first period but the visitors took the lead when they won possession in midfield and Kevin O’Hara fired home from 25 yards.

Right on half time, Dundee drew level when a strong run from Jesse Curran saw him in a great position on the right hand side. He picked up Jack Lambert who made no mistake finding the net.

The match looked like it would end in a draw as both sides missed opportunities in the dying minutes but as we entered injury time the referee pointed to the spot for a foul and Nikolay Todorov made no mistake slotting home to give Falkirk all three points.

Starting line up – Parish, Kerr, Rice, Hadenius, Jefferies, Anderson, Dales, Moore, Henvey, Lambert, J. Curran.

Subs – Jackson, Scott, Rodger, J. Smith, Fisher, Meres, Cunningham.
