Good afternoon everyone and welcome to our first home Ladbrokes Championship match of the year against Ayr United Football Club.  We would like to extend a warm welcome to manager Ian McCall, the directors, players, guests and fans of The Honest Men to Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park this afternoon.  I would like to welcome to Kilmac Stadium for the first time this season, and to thank our partners Switch Gas & Electric, Kilmac, Scott Fyffe Motors, Crown Engineering, and digital media partner Blue2 for all of their support for the upcoming season.

It has been and continues to be a busy time behind the scenes here at Kilmac Stadium.  We are excited for a successful season.  The introduction of James McPake, Jimmy Nicholl and the backroom staff has brought us a good balance of enthusiasm and experience, and with James you know we will have the grit and determination that we will need to be successful.  The addition of Gordon Strachan as Technical Director has also taken the club to the next level across all-things football.

We have moved our Academy to a new home at the Regional Performance Centre, which we will occupy on the first of September.  This will give our Academy the best facilities to cultivate their skills in their quest to become Dundee FC first teamers!  The new facility allows us to offer new programmes and training regimes that have been thoughtfully designed by Stephen Wright, Gordon Strachan and all our Academy Staff.  It also allows us to train no matter what the weather and offers a comfortable place for families to watch.  We are still working on a few schemes that will make the entire Academy experience more enjoyable for the DFC Academy player’s entire family.  So stay tuned for future announcements.  Dee Promotions will also have a lottery that you will be able to access online…this will help Alison McQueen and all who help her in getting to all of the Dundee Fans across the planet!  Keep a lookout for the new page on the website.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors and partners who are supporting us this season.  We would like to welcome Switch Electric and Gas as our main shirt sponsor as well as our new bottom back of shirt sponsor, MKM Building Supplies!  And as ever, Kilmac for once again sponsoring our Stadium, our top back of shirt sponsor Metro Motors, and shorts sponsor Crown Engineering… you have all been with us a long time and we really appreciate your support.  Macron is our new kit suppling partner, and the kit looks very smart this year.  We can all look forward to seeing the third kit that will be out in December!

Finally, a massive thank you from all of us at Dundee Football Club to all of you who support the club, week in and week out.  We share your high expectations for the new season and look forward to this exciting year.  You are the best fans in football, and we know we can make this season a successful one with your support!
