Craig Wighton was on the score sheet as Scotland progressed to the Semi Finals of the UEFA under 17s European Championships in Malta today.
Craig was introduced to the match at half time with Scotland a goal behind Switzerland knowing they needed at least a point to qualify for the Semi’s.
Four minutes into the second period and he was on hand to spin and fire the ball into the net to draw the young Scots level.
Ten minutes later, Craig beat his man to the ball on the left and sprinted forward, his cross was headed back across goal and turned home to give Scotland the lead.
Scotland then added a third to confirm their passage through from the group stage.
Craig and his team mates will face Netherlands in the Semi Final on Sunday.
