Update from Dark Blue Property Holdings and LJR+H Chartered Architects

Following the recent submission of a screening / scoping request to Dundee City Council, Dark Blue Properties Ltd and Leadingham Jameson Rogers + Hynd Chartered Architects (LJR+H) can now announce that a further Pre-Application Notice for a Stadium and Mixed-Use Development adjacent to Camperdown Leisure Park was today lodged with DCC Planning Department.

The notice is a formal statement of intent to submit an Application for Planning Permission in Principle later this year and will signal the start of a period of statutory and public consultation to allow the exploration of a wide range of issues important to the success of the project including site access, environmental impact and land use.

To initiate construction and ensure the long term financial viability of a new stadium a successful mix of income generating activities on site will be essential, and the consultation period will provide a framework for DBPH to explore a full range of potential options with the necessary public bodies in advance of making a formal Application.

The consultation period will also include an open presentation to be held in the upstairs function rooms of the Dundee Ice Arena during September to give fans and members of the public an opportunity to discover more about the initial site explorations and early thoughts on strategy and layout.
