Dundee City Council last night announced plans have been lodged for a new multi million pound Regional Performance Centre for Sport.
A supporting 25-page document outlines issues relating to the planning application for the facility at Caird Park, as well as revealing its design and accessibility.
The £21m project will provide a training and competition venue for regional squads across a wide but defined range of sports and the Caird Park training ground will provide facilities for Dundee FC.

We sat down with Managing Director John Nelms today who spoke to us about the training facility amongst other things ahead of the season getting under way on Saturday.
We have made the video free for all to view on the club’s official YouTube channel.
