Fans who were at the game yesterday would have seen a new face putting the players through their paces both pre-match and during the half time break.
Tom Ritchie was that man, he has joined Paul Hartley’s back room staff arriving from Paul’s former club Alloa.
He comes to the club with a vast experience in fitness and physical conditioning.
A Scottish International athlete at schools, junior and senior level – Tom got his start in professional football when he worked with Craig Levein at Cowdenbeath. When Levein moved onto become Hearts manager in 2000 he took Tom with him.
He spent the best part of 10 years with the Tynecastle club – under various managers. It was at Hearts that he first worked with Paul Hartley.
After leaving Hearts, he spent time with Raith Rovers then with RSC Charleroi in Belgium before joining Paul at Alloa in 2011 shortly after he was appointed.
