“I’m pleased with how we played, It’s a difficult venue to come to” said manager Paul Hartley of the 0-0 draw at Inverness Caledonian Thistle “We got a point and a clean sheet, I thought we were hard to beat and thought we worked hard as a team
Dundee came close to grabbing full points several times “We had some good situations” said Paul “Peter MacDonald could have had a couple of goals, Gary Harkins had a good chance, we might have had a penalty but the main thing is we’re playing well, we’re creating and trying to pass the ball, trying to entertain and the players are working hard.
“It could have been a penalty, I’ve seen them given, but we can’t moan too much, that’s what happens and it wasn’t given, it looked like handball but we just move on
The departure through injury early in the match of captain Kevin Thomson forced Hartley to make a change and later in the match there were more amendments, both in personnel and formation “We had to make changes, the personnel had to change with Thommo going off early in the game so that upset us a little bit. We changed the system two or three times throughout the match but the players are used to that.
“It was a strong finish to the game from us, wee Boyle came on and gave us a bit of pace on the right hand side.”
And he was again impressed with the traveling support, there were 477 in the away end “They are terrific, it’s a long journey up for them, a lot of money, and they gave us great backing again”
