Late goal secures point

Derick Osei hit his first goal for the club as Dundee came from behind twice to earn a point at Ochilview against Queen’s Park on Friday evening.

Dundee had the best of the first half but went in behind at the break as the hosts took the lead through Patrick Jarrett on the half-hour mark.

After the break, Dundee hit back as Paul McMullan’s free kick from just inside the Queen’s half floated over ex Dee Calum Ferrie and into the net.

Frustratingly for Dundee, they were only level for 34 seconds as Tommy Robson drilled low into the net.

Dundee pushed on looking for the goal to get them level, after striking the woodwork twice and various efforts on goal they found a way through in the 86th minute when Osei turned home Jordan McGhee’s ball across to level.

Queen’s protested to the point that Dom Thomas received a second yellow and his marching orders. The claims were for incorrectly arguing that Osei was in an offside position.
