  • Dundee’s last win at Dingwall was on April 23rd 2011 during the Dee-Fiant season when a Leighton McIntosh goal gave Dundee a priceless 1-0 over County to confirm survival after the 25-point penalty from the Scottish League
  • Dundee legend Bobby Wilson managed The Staggies from 1987 and 1996 and was manager when Ross County was admitted to the Scottish League in 1994
  • Dundee’s first ever match against Ross County was a friendly match at the Victoria Ground on April 17th 1985 which The Dee won 5-2 thanks to goals from Kidd (2), Connor, McKinlay, Richardson
  • The first competitive meeting of the clubs came in the Scottish Cup on February 14th 1998. The 1-1 draw was Jocky Scott’s first game in charge in his second spell as manager after he replaced John McCormack. The Dee won the replay 3-0 at Dens three days later.
  • The last time the team’s met on the opening day of the league season was in 2008. Dundee won 2-1 in Dingwall thanks to goals from Eric Paton and Mickael Antoine Curier.
  • Both Ross County and Dundee were promoted to the top flight in 2012 after The Staggies won the First Division and Dundee as runners-up were promoted after Rangers were demoted to the Third Division

  • Both clubs scored seven goals in their last Betfred Cup group matches last week while Dundee put seven without reply past County in a pre-season match in 1986 with goals from Jack (2), McKinlay, Harvey (3) and Smith
