A strong Dundee reserves side defeated Kilmarnock reserves in the cinch Reserve League with the match played behind closed doors.

It was the perfect start for The Dee when young Jamie Richardson – on loan at Brechin City – received the ball and slotted it into the bottom left corner of the net after five minutes.

Kilmarnock looked for a quick leveller when they pounced on a lose ball but Mulligan won the ball back.

Mulligan then won a free-kick on the edge of the box, it was taken by Robertson but went wide of the post.

On the half-hour mark, Killie equalised Sharp received a pass back but was instantly pressured and tackled by the Killie forward, and the ball ended up in the back of the net.

Seven minutes later Dundee were back in front. Robertson delivered a corner which was knocked out to Dodgson at the edge of the box and he smashed the ball into the bottom right corner.

Three minutes later Dundee extended their lead. It was Dodgson’s turn to assist as he delivered a corner to the near post and Mutale turned it in.
