Dundee went down 3-0 to Livingston in the Reserve Cup group stage this afternoon at Whitton Park.
Both sides included experienced players but there was little action throughout the match that saw Livingston take a deserved victory.
Luke Graham headed just wide from a corner after three minutes but the next time either goal was troubled was when the visitors took the lead after 25 minutes.
Euan Griffiths curled in from the left-hand side of the box.
Niall McGinn forced former Dee Jack Hamilton into a save before Dylan Bahamboula doubled Livi’s lead with the only other effort of the half.
He placed a free kick perfectly to find the net from 25 yards out.
After the break, it was much of the same. Ruaridh Lynch denied Bruce Anderson with a fine save early in the half but the next real goalmouth action came with 77 minutes on the clock as Livi found the net again.
Bahamboula was heavily involved with fine play before a cutback for substitute Che Reilly fired home.
There was time for one last chance for Dundee in stoppage time but a good save from Hamilton meant Dundee couldn’t find a way to goal.
