A young under 18s squad with three under 16s making up the outfield players on the bench continued their league season away to Kilmarnock.
It was Kilmarnock that struck first from a long throw. The throw was launched deep into the box from their right with the Kilmarnock striker giving a nudge to the Dundee defender and looping a header over the top of Ruaridh Lynch in the goal.
Both teams battled to halftime, with The Dee defending for long periods.
In the second half, the Dees struck back.
A long ball into the right channel for Finlay Allan, who did well to hold off challenges and to get a pass to BLAIKE KYLES in the box at an angle, who turned the defender to open up the goal and shot into the far left.
The Dee rode their luck at times but managed a couple of dangerous attacks.
Ruaridh Lynch in the Dundee goal called into action throughout. The big keeper made two outstanding close-range saves to keep the Kilmarnock attacks out. Top saves and a big performance from Lynch, in particular, helped The Dees claim a point.
A tough game against a strong Kilmarnock team and performance earned The Dee a hard-fought draw that kept them undefeated this season.
