St. Mirren preview

Dundee take on St. Mirren at Dens Park this weekend as they look to build on a good start in the SPFL Premiership season going into a busy festive period.

The match with the Buddies is the first of eight games between now and the end of January for Paul Hartley’s side.

St. Mirren currently sit bottom of the table and having parted company with manager Tommy Craig recently, caretaker boss Gary Teale will be looking for the first win under his guidance when they travel to the City of Discovery on Saturday.

Dundee will welcome Gary Harkins back for selection after missing out against Partick through suspension, and could well see Paul McGowan return after an injury lay off. Kevin Thomson left the pitch at Firhill last week but should be ok to face St. Mirren.

The clubs have met once previously this season with Dundee winning with a single Peter MacDonald strike down at St. Mirren Park way back in August.
