NEW BOYS NOTCH AT MONTROSE

A crowd of just over 600 saw Dundee go nap in their first open to public pre season match.

Carlo Monti opened the scoring from the penalty spot and Martin Boyle made two before half time.

After the break, Steven Doris headed home. Montrose pulled one back through Garry Wood but Craig Wighton quickly restored Dundee’s three goal lead.

A young midfield trialist found the net firing home the rebound after Sandy Wood saved his penalty late on to make it 5-1 and complete the scoring.
