Manager previews Partick

Manager Paul Hartley spoke to the press this afternoon and confirmed that new signing Marcus Haber is in his thoughts for tomorrow night’s visit of Partick Thistle to Dens.

Marcus watched the match against St. Johnstone from the stand after a week on trial with the club and put pen to paper on Monday.

Asked what the striker will add to the team, the manager said, “Little bit of strength, height, somebody that stays in the box. The majority of his goals have been in the box so hopefully he gives us that little bit of a different dimension.

On the injury front, Faissal El Bakhtaoui left the field on Sunday and has been added to the injury list, the manager confirmed those who are set to miss out, “Mark O’Hara had an op today for his hernia, El Bakhtaoui is going to be out for three weeks with his calf, Nicky Low will get an injection today for his ankle, hopefully this will tidy him up and he can be back training by the end of the week.”

The club currently sit at the bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership but a victory will see they leapfrog Partick, the manager told the press, “Morale is good, the players are still upbeat, still positive. We’ve got to keep it that way, we don’t want to show any signs of weakness. Results have not been good, we know that but we are in a positive mindset, good spirits and one thing that we do have is a good group of players and a terrific team spirit.”

“The next game is what it is all about for us, to try and get a positive result. It’s a big game tomorrow night, we understand that. We are not in the position we wanted to be after 10 games so we have to find a way of winning a game. “
