International duty for Dees

This week sees a break from first team fixtures but four of the Dundee squad are on their travels to represent their countries at international level.

Craig Wighton was given his first Scotland u21 call up and will be part of the set up as they take on Iceland in Reykjavik this Wednesday and Macedonia in Skopje next week.

Our other three call ups all come from the Northern Ireland camp with Conor Quigley joining Michael Duffy in the under 21 squad who take on Ukraine in Kyiv on Thursday before a home match against France on the 11th of October.

The final of our call ups comes from the Northern Ireland under 19 camp. Managed by ex Dee Stephen Frail, central defender Matty Smyth has been called up for the three qualifiers this week. They begin on Thursday 8th October against Slovakia, then two days later face Macedonia before finishing their qualifiers against Poland on Tuesday 11th October.
