Grady donates to The Dee

In the Euphoria of last Saturday’s match Versus Dumbarton, 12 year old Grady McGrath used his imagination to find a creative way of raising funds for the DFC Youth Academy.

The Barnhill pupil – at the game with his Mum Adele, Dad Dylan and sister Taylor – was one of the thousands who ran on to the pitch as the referee blew the final whistle that meant the 2-1 victory was enough to crown Dundee as champions and would be promoted to the Premiership.
With the help of his parents, Grady put the flag on eBay and watched as the bidding war erupted in the final hours, ending with a last offer of £265.

“We were delighted to receive this money from Grady; instead of keeping a piece of memorabilia he wanted to invest something back in to the Club and we really appreciate that” said Director of Football John Nelms
“Our supporters have been fantastic all season, and its things like this that inspires everyone here to continue to work hard every day and deliver the kind of football Club that the fans deserve.”

Grady’s donation puts the Club’s youths in Pole position to be ready for the new season…
