Development Dee win in Highlands

A young Dundee side ran out 2-1 winners at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in the SPFL Development League last night.

Ian Smith opened the scoring in the second half for the Dundee side which again included 14, 15 and 16 year olds.

Caley were awarded a penalty soon after and drew level but in the final minute the referee pointed to the spot again after a foul on Reigan Thomson and Mark Smith kept a cool head to win the match for Dundee.

Calum Ferrie was in fine form in the Dundee goal, saving multiple times from the more experienced Inverness Caley side.

The under 20s have two matched remaining in the Development League, this Thursday they take on Kilmarnock at Dens then we host Aberdeen at Links Park next Tuesday, both matches kick off at 6pm.
