DEE DOWN TEN MAN RAITH

A superb first half free kick from Ryan Conroy and a first goal in a competitive top team game for 16 year old Craig Wighton eased Dundee past the challenge of ten man Raith Rovers

Raith were reduced to ten men shortly after the opening goal when Callum Booth downed Nicky Riley and picked up a second yellow, he’d been booked for handling a Conroy free kick in the moments before Conroy scored.

Wighton’s header from a Conroy cross gave Dundee a degree of comfort shortly after the restart and the Dark Blues could well have added to their tally.

It was a result that got Dundee back on track after the last minute agony at Livingston a fortnight ago – and means that the Dee have now won five of their last six outings.
