Clarky is SPFL Player of the Month

David Clarkson’s incredible goal scoring form was rewarded last week when he was chosen as the SPFL Player of the Month for November.

He started the month by drilling home at Kilmarnock to make it five games in a row he had scored in.

A week later he turned home against St. Johnstone in a 1-1 draw at Dens. Following a international break he was back on the scoresheet at Celtic Park before ending the month in the perfect way.

With the William Hill Scottish Cup tie with Aberdeen tied at 1-1 in the final minute David kept his cool to turn home after a James McPake knock down and put Dundee into the next round.

Yesterday his scoring in consecutive games run came to an end as he failed to find the net against Inverness Caley Thistle at Dens. The run ended with an amazing run of scoring in his first 8 matches in Dark Blue, a feat never achieved by another player.

Dundee fans Scott and Stuart Peters were part of the voting panel after winning an online competition and came to Dens during the week to present Clarky with his award which covers all four SPFL divisions.
